Accepting a Case

This tutorial will walk the learner through the process of reviewing a submitted case in EDRS. It entails knowing what action to perform, how to review offline certified cases, and how to successfully accept (or reject) a case.

 

After successfully completing the tutorial, the user will know how to:

 

oStart a case review process
oIdentify errors in a case (for offline certified cases)
oSubmit case-specific information (for offline certified cases)
oAccept a case

When adjusting the regions on a faxed medical certification, remember the following:

Red: captures the "Name of Decedent as Known by Physician" field ONLY

Blue: captures everything below, and including, the phrase "ITEMS 26-30 MUST BE COMPLETED BY PERSON...", until the Local Registrar signature is reached. The Local Registrar section (Fields 55 'til the end of the form: signature, district no., date received, and local file no.) must not be included.
