Windows XP

Other Windows versions, such as NT, 98, and 2003 will be tested by DHSS.  Macintosh, Linux, and older Windows may work if latest browser is installed, but will not be formally tested or supported.

Browser

Internet Explorer 6+

Netscape, Firefox, Opera, or any other browser other than Internet Explorer is not supported by EDRS. Internet Explorer can be obtained from the following link.

Monitor

Resolution 1024x768

Lower screen resolutions such as 800x600 will cause real estate issues and will affect the usability of certain functions within EDRS. 

Connectivity

DSL, Broadband, T1, etc.

Dial-up should be fine without time outs, since we are trying to limit screen size to 100K.

Hardware

256MB RAM, 1 GHz Processor

DHSS will not be testing below this threshold.  128MB RAM and lower runs into difficulties on most commercial Web Sites.

Printer

Laser Printer

Must accept/produce both letter (8.5x11) and legal (8.5 x 14) size documents.

Fax Machine

Must accept/produce both letter (8.5x11) and legal (8.5 x 14) size documents.

Speakers or Headset
